Located in the centre of downtown, this facility served as the Carleton County Gaol from 1862-1972, and now offers accommodation in converted jail cells, with private as well as shared rooms (ideal for families and groups). Here, you might even get to stay in the cell that once held Patrick James Whelan, convicted of assassinating Thomas D’Arcy McGee.
